The Love Gift Offering
is a unique offering only given by PW in Redstone
Presbytery to support mission trips of individuals or groups, particularly the
youth, from Redstone Presbytery. All of the women in the local PW groups
give generously once a year at the Spring Gathering in April.
Any member of Redstone Presbytery, going on a mission trip, individually or with
a group, is eligible to apply for funding. Applications are to be submitted to
the PW Moderator by March 1st. The application can be downloaded
here. (click here for
application)
At the Spring Gathering, after the offering is collected and the sum determined, the Financial Committee (Moderator, Treasurer, & Mission Interpretation Coordinator) meets to discuss applicants and decide on the amounts to be awarded. If offering is sent in later in the year, a late applicant may be considered.
If possible, PW of Redstone would like some kind of report or presentation about the mission trip when the recipient has returned, usually at the next Spring Gathering.
