It is an honor to serve as your moderator for the next year.  In some sense I am relatively new to the Presbytery.  I was ordained in July of 2006 and am currently serving God’s church in Derry.  However, I have lived almost my entire life within the bounds of Redstone Presbytery.

My home church was Trinity UP in Vandergrift until it merged with First to become Vandergrift Presbyterian Church.   There I was always active in Christian Education, Youth Ministry, PW and served as a deacon.  As my children entered college, I heard the call to attend seminary.  After six years of night classes while teaching full time, I retired and graduated so that I could serve the church of Jesus Christ in fulltime ministry.

My husband, Hal, has just retired from teaching and he is my support and keeps me grounded.  We have three grown children.  MaryBeth is married to Rob and they are expecting our first grandson in June of this year. Tim our oldest son is married to Liv.  All four of them teach in the public schools in Glendale, AZ.   Our youngest son, Bill, works in Washington, DC doing computer stuff for the Department of Defense.
